Clarisound rolls out mobile and tele-audiology services across Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Media OutReach Newswire – 5 August 2025 – Clarisound is revolutionizing hearing care delivery by bringing professional audiology services directly to Malaysians through online tests, telecare appointments, and digital tools—extending expert support to homes, offices, and virtually anywhere. Remote Hearing Healthcare The company’s Telecare service supports existing Clarisound customers who’ve completed in-person hearing tests, otoscopy, and device fitting. These foundational steps require face-to-face interaction for accuracy. Once established, Telecare bridges the gap between visits, delivering professional expertise wherever customers are. Recognizing widespread reluctance to address hearing issues, Clarisound offers online hearing tests accessible via smartphone or computer. This discreet, minutes-long assessment provides an entry point for those uncertain about their hearing health or hesitant to seek clinical care. Technology-Driven Accessibility Telecare services complement in-store consultations through video appointments with qualified audiologists who evaluate, adjust, and troubleshoot remotely. This approach reduces travel time and costs while ensuring continuity for those with mobility challenges or time constraints. “Telecare isn’t a replacement, but a smart extension of personalized hearing care,” explains Kieran McCarry, Clarisound’s founder. “In-person visits remain essential for comprehensive assessments—hearing tests, ear examinations, real-ear measurements, and initial fittings. However, Telecare maintains connection between appointments, supporting aural rehabilitation with remote adjustments that fit seamlessly into daily life. This proactive approach enhances comfort and drives better long-term outcomes.” Bridging Technology and Health Clarisound leverages growing interest in devices like Apple AirPods Pro2 as conversation starters about hearing health. While not medical-grade substitutes, features like “Conversation Boost” increase sound quality awareness, prompting users to seek professional advice. Regional Impact This model proves particularly impactful where hearing health awareness is developing. By eliminating traditional barriers—geographic distance, stigma, and clinical accessibility—Clarisound empowers individuals to address hearing health earlier and more confidently. The integration of mobile technology, online testing, and professional telecare positions Clarisound as a Malaysian healthcare leader. Rather than treating hearing loss as niche, the company reframes it as central to everyday health. With every mobile test, teleconsultation, or hearing aid fitted, Clarisound brings hearing care out of clinical settings into daily life, where it belongs. KUSKOP Aims For Medium Enterprises To Make Up 5% Of MSMEs By 2030

KUALA LUMPUR, The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) aims to raise the proportion of medium-sized businesses to 5% of Malaysia’s total micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by 2030, up from the current 1.6%. Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick said the ministry will continue supporting MSMEs through targeted initiatives aimed at helping them grow and become more resilient in the long term. “Scaling up MSMEs is a key priority to ensure their sustainability and ability to withstand future challenges. It’s an ambitious goal, but we are identifying several new initiatives to help drive this, including encouraging MSME participation in high value-added sectors, disruptive business models, and global value chains. He noted that between 2023 and 2025, survey data shows 8.5% of businesses have formalised their operations, while 7.3% of MSMEs have successfully expanded into larger enterprises. “These scaled-up MSMEs often have strong competitive edges — they are involved in high-impact industries, export internationally, supply to larger companies, and adopt ESG practices in their operations,” he added. At the briefing, it was also reported that MSMEs are continuing to play a significant role in Malaysia’s economy, contributing RM652.4 billion in 2024. According to the Department of Statistics Malaysia, MSME GDP grew by 5.8% this year, outpacing the national GDP growth of 5.1% and non-MSMEs’ 4.7%.

Southco Introduces New T6 Stamped Friction Hinge

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 5 August 2025 – Southco has launched the new T6 Friction Hinge, a cost-effective access hardware solution that helps designers remove play from their panels without breaking their budget. T6 Friction Hinge Friction and torque hinges have been used to add resistance to panels for decades, and come with several benefits. Their resistance makes the panel easier to position, makes lighter materials feel heavier, and keeps users safe by preventing panels from quickly swinging open or slamming shut. However, these benefits have historically come at a significantly higher price compared to free-swinging hinges. While embedded torque engines and polished stainless-steel hardware are certainly the industry standard, they may become cost prohibitive as budgets tighten and engineers look to optimize every part of their design. Southco solved this price problem with their T6 Friction Hinge, foregoing expensive torque engines for precision stamping construction that tightly wraps the hinge knuckles around the pin, providing enough friction to remove play from the hinge without grinding or preventing movement. This process greatly reduces manufacturing costs, giving designers on all budgets access to the quality feel of a friction hinge. They also keep the benefits of stainless-steel construction, making the T6 Friction Hinge suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. “The T6 Friction Hinge offers a more cost-efficient solution, and the stainless-steel material offers corrosion resistance and aesthetic benefits,” said Southco Product Manager Stewart Beck. ” Its stamped construction helps keep the price down for all designers, while the added friction solves the play issues without the need for a high-end positioning control hinge.” For more information about the T6 Friction Hinge, visit southco.com or email the 24/7 customer service department at [email protected].
