Jelawang Capital has appointed former Sea Malaysia chief Howard Soh as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 October 2026.

Soh joins the company from Asia-based investment firm LemmaTree, where he served as Group Chief Investment Officer. He brings 20 years of experience in investment, venture building and business operations across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

Jelawang Capital Chairman Datuk Hisham Hamdan welcomed Soh’s appointment, highlighting his experience in institutional investment, venture building and leadership within Malaysia’s technology sector.

He said Soh would help guide the company’s strategic direction and strengthen its partnerships with fund managers as Jelawang Capital continues to support the growth of Malaysia’s venture capital and startup ecosystem.
