The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and Dagang NeXchange Bhd (DNeX) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) to strengthen digital trade services and make export processes easier for Malaysian businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The collaboration aims to enhance the Madani Digital Trade Platform (MDTP) as a central digital export hub, providing businesses with easier access to trade services and digital solutions.
In a joint statement, MATRADE said the partnership would simplify export procedures by bringing important trade and customs services together on a single digital platform.
By integrating customs declaration services into MDTP, Malaysian exporters will be able to manage trade-related processes more efficiently, reducing administrative challenges and improving accessibility.
Under the agreement, DNeX will serve as the trade facilitation partner, providing access to its digital trade platform, DNeX TradeHub.
The company will also contribute technical expertise and support to integrate DNeX TradeHub with MDTP, allowing businesses to access digital trade services through a more connected system.
In addition, DNeX will assist SMEs and exporters in registering for and using the platform, while working closely with MATRADE to encourage the adoption of digital trade solutions.
The MOC was signed by MATRADE Chief Executive Officer Datuk Abu Bakar Yusof and DNeX IT Chief Executive Officer Shiraz Ramli.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by MATRADE Chairman Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican and DNeX Chairman Tan Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir.
The partnership represents another step towards strengthening Malaysia’s digital trade ecosystem, helping local businesses simplify export processes and improve their access to international markets.
